Bay to Breakers

Well, Steve and I finished Bay to Breakers. You cannot believe how many naked people we saw. We had to be really careful on where our hands were at all times...if you moved too fast, you could be touching something that was really gross!

The Hayes St. Hill was nowhere near as bad as we thought it would be. We had a great time and were very proud of ourselves. We walked a good 9 miles. The race was only 7.46 miles but you had to walk from BART to the startline and then another mile or so from the finish line to Footstock where we picked up our participant t-shirts.

Our Cruise to Mexico

Well, we're back from our cruise. We had perfect weather, sunny in the 90's with no humidity! Right outside of our stateroom was a private deck on the ship. We found it on our second day. The view was at the bow (front) of the ship with nothing below and the only thing above was the bridge. On our last day as we were coming into San Francisco, I looked up and there was the Captain, standing behind the wheel and waving at me.

The food was amazing. Everything tastes great when served in a 5-star restaurant with a view of the ocean.

We saw a whale one day while we were walking on the promenade deck. We turned a corner and there was this little Mexican worker who was painting the ship. He was pointing out to the sea and dancing around. He was trying to speak English without much luck. He finally got out the word, "Whale". It was so cool. The whale was spouting and jumping out of the water. We watched for about 5 minutes.

We also saw thousands (literally) of dolphins migrating. We started seeing them outside of Acupulco and saw them all the way to Cabo San Lucas. Much better than Marine World...

Steve will be home in about a week and a half. We are doing Bay to Breakers before we come home! Wish us luck...

Busy, busy, busy

Well, I certainly haven't updated this in a while! I have been busy walking every day. Jenn, Davin and Shane were here for a week. It was so nice to spend time with them. We had a great time taking pictures of Shane. We even found time to go shopping for Jenn.

Steve comes home in 6 days so I have been busy getting everything ready for him. He has called and requested enchildas and green chili chicken to be served...but I got him back, I went shopping and bought the ingredients for tiramisu! He will only be home for a little over a week, so I have been hurrying to complete all of my shopping for our cruise. Steve leaves on Easter Sunday and we leave for our cruise on Thursday. I have all of my clothes ironed and in my closet just waiting to be put in the suitcase when I come home from the airport.

Norm is looking forward to staying with Stella while we are gone.

I'm down 80 pounds today! Yeah!

OK, Jenn has inspired me to start a blog. We'll see how it goes.

We had about 18 inches of snow this past week. Luckily, yesterday the sun finally came out and melted some of it! It is supposed to be sunny again tomorrow before it rains again durng the week. Hopefully, it will all melt before that. We had to stay home today because the road and driveway are so slushy, the cars just skate all over them. It just isn't worth the hassle to leave!

Steve called today. He is home from his weekend in Barcelona. He loved it there. He said that the weather was gorgeous and he spent a whole day on the beach staring at Mediterranean. He is excited to be coming home in a few weeks and is anxious to see everybody...but especially Shane.
